"Three days before we were to arrive in Taos, Wendy called to tell us our home had no water. Within one day, she met with workmen who determined that lightning hit the well, burned out the pump and destroyed the electrical wire leading from the well the house. During thenext two days, she arranged for and coordinated three different contractors (a well specialist, an electrician, and a handyman) who worked together to fix the problem in record time. We met Wendy last summer when we hired her to the caretaker of our refurbished adobe home. An old adobe is never quite complete and she has helped us with the continuing work while we are not in Taos. Two days before New Years eve, the city discovered a leak in our water line and turned everything off to the house saying they would turn it back on when we had the line fixed. With 12 guest and a New Year eve party upcoming, we were frantic. We called Wendy and within 45 minutes we had a plumber accessing the problem, next thing a backhoe was digging, the plumbers were working and Wendy was there to make sure everything was OK. Within 4 hours we had our water turned back on by the city. We would have to say Wendy's availability and her connections saved us from what could have been a very unpleasant holiday.
